Description
Antwerpse Brouw Compagnie Seef Bier
A historic cloudy Belgian blonde beer, originally from Antwerp and dating back to the 17th century. It was extremely popular in the region and even gave its name to a neighborhood in the city (Seefhoek). After disappearing due to industrial competition and the First World War, the recipe was recovered after more than 3 years of research. Using original ingredients such as barley, wheat, oats, buckwheat, Belgian hops and historic yeast, the beer was relaunched by Antwerpse Brouw Compagnie. Since then, Seefbier has become one of the most awarded Belgian beers, with numerous international titles, including 'World's Best' and gold medals in competitions such as the World Beer Cup and World Beer Awards. Recognized as the official beer of the city of Antwerp and as a historic regional product, Seef Bier continues to be brewed in the city centre, keeping its rich tradition and flavor alive.
