Abita Purple Haze
The Louisiana brewery Abita Brewing loves to experiment with the use of various fruits in its beers. Here we have a Wheat Ale with the addition of fresh raspberries in the second part of the fermentation. Poured into the glass it is intense amber with violet reflections, the foam is of medium-low persistence. On the nose, notes of red fruit (raspberries above all) and citric stand out. In the mouth the beer is dry and acidic with a clear fruity taste.
