Description
Almamac Beer Co. is a brewery famous for making fruit-infused Sour Ales. Summer in the City is a Farmhouse Ale matured in oak barrels with brettomyces, vanilla, Californian citrus fruits (oranges, mandarins) and with the addition of citra hops. The beer, especially in its youth, is a triumph of citrus fruits: notes of orange, mandarin, lime, cedar that meet the funky and wooden notes of wild fermentation in the barrel. A touch of vanilla sweetens everything, especially in the mouth where between wild fermentation and the natural acidity of citrus fruits there is a notable, albeit pleasant, harshness.
