Description
La Noir di Altotevere combines the hops of an IPA with the roasted roasts of Stout/Porter. This beer can be considered a meeting point between a Black IPA and a very hoppy American Porter, given the massive use of toasted malts. Poured into the glass it appears ebony colored with a massive cap of cream-coloured foam. On the nose the hops give it intense herbaceous and resinous notes, while the malts bring coffee and chocolate. The strong toasted flavors return in the mouth accompanied by a fairly full body, thanks also to the use of oat flakes which balance the strong pungent bitterness at the end.
