When Amager Bryghus meets Pivovar Raven, the result flies low and strikes with sharp talons: Reaping Ravens is an IPA at 7.5% ABV and a formidable 82 IBU, born from a collaboration between the two breweries and made for those who want hops without compromise. The foundation is lean and clean, water and Pilsner malt alone fermented with US-Ale yeast, so that the whole stage belongs to the hops: Columbus brings its resinous, piercing soul, Galaxy delivers passion fruit and ripe peach, Nelson Sauvin adds its unmistakable notes of white grape and gooseberry, while Cashmere rounds things off with coconut, melon and lime zest. The body is crisp and dry, the bitterness firm, deep and lingering, and beneath its blade the tropical and vinous aromas keep dancing right through the finish. Reaping Ravens is a harvest of hops from New Zealand, Australia and the United States, served by two breweries who know exactly where to strike.
