Description
The Devil's Tramping Ground is a folklore legend from North Carolina, the country of origin of Aviator Brewing Company. Legend says that this is the place where the devil himself can rise from the depths of hell fire and come to earth. A name that might seem to contradict the appearance of this beer but you shouldn't be fooled.
Poured into the glass it is golden, with a foam of medium abundance and persistence. On the nose, fruity esters stand out that recall banana and bubblegum, spices, honey, yellow fruit and citrus fruits (more candied than fresh)... the hopping gives it herbaceous and slightly resinous notes. On the palate the malty attack is sweet and full of honey and candied fruit, but in true Belgian tradition the drink continues dry and dry with a slightly more pronounced bitterness than the average.
How to pair the La Devils Tramping Ground Tripel We recommend it with a mixed platter of blue cheeses, both cow and sheep/goat cheeses.
