This Imperial Stout from Birranova tells of Donato di Palma's love for Scotland. In fact, the beer in question is matured in quarter casks which have contained peated Scottish whiskeys. Poured into the glass it is impenetrable black, topped with a cap of caffe latte-coloured foam. Just bring it just to your nose to understand all the potential brought by aging in the fourth casks: evident notes of peat emerge followed by those typical of toasted malts (coffee and chocolate above all). In the mouth it is full and enveloping with warm and enveloping sensations given by the alcoholic warming and with the evident peat notes that return to duet with the toasted ones, with an interesting slightly astringent and tannic finish given by the wood. A superb beer that will be loved even by those who are passionate about spirits.

Imperial Stout d'ispirazione scozzese. Viene fatta maturate in quarter casks che hanno contenuto whiskey torbati scozzesi. In bocca è piena ed avvolgente con sensazioni caldi ed avvolgenti date dal warming alcolico e con le evidente note di torba che tornano a duettare con quelle tostate, con una interessante chiusura lievemente astringente e tannica data dal legno. Una superba birra che si farà amare anche da chi è appassionato di distillati.
