Here is Maple Plumber, a symphony of sweetness and depth. Just like a master plumber hooks up pipes for a steady flow, this Imperial Pastry Stout brings a steady flow of pounds of fresh maple syrup, specialty coffee, and freshly roasted pecans to your glass. Both malts and English yeasts were used for this beer. Malt enriches the beer, adding layers of buttery, woody vanilla-like sweetness. The yeast introduces subtle fruity notes, including red apple, pear and red fruits. A pinch of salt and specialty coffee are used to enhance the dark, toasted flavors of the malts. Maple syrup is added at the end of fermentation to enhance its sweetness.
