Description
Be careful, because this is a real hop bomb. This beer, currently the flagship of the De Ranke Brewery, is raw hopped with Hallertau Mitterfruh and Brewers Gold to obtain its pungent bitterness, to which it owes its reputation. This means that fresh hop flowers are inserted during the blending in order to best develop their bitterness potential. XX Bitter features strongly floral hop aromas, capable of filling the nose and anticipating the character of the beer. On the palate, floral notes of citrus, herbs and hops develop, accompanied by a pungent and very persistent bitterness, with a slightly resinous touch. The bitter aftertaste in the mouth is impressive, consecrating the XX Bitter as a true hymn to hop flowers.
