Description
Be careful, because this is a real hop bomb. This beer, currently the flagship of the young but admirable De Ranke Brewery, is raw hopped with Hallertau Mitterfruh and Brewers Gold to present its pungent bitterness which also generates its reputation. This means that fresh hop flowers are inserted during the blending in order to best develop their bitterness potential. This XX Bitter has very floral hop aromas that completely fill the nose and immediately announce its color. On the palate it produces floral aromas of citrus, herbs and hops which are accompanied by a pungent and very persistent bitterness, with a slightly resinous touch of hops. The bitterness aftertaste in the mouth is impressive and this XX Bitter in the glass becomes a true hymn to hop flowers.
