Description
Eastside Brewing Baltic Cookie (area limitation, read at the bottom)
A 10 proof Baltic Porter in which, after a long period of refinement with oak cubes previously soaked in bourbon, Madagascar vanilla, Ghanaian cocoa grue and salted caramel are added. The beer is impenetrable black, dense, oily, with a barely noticeable foam, but fine and with good persistence. On the nose it is a triumph of vanilla and ethyl notes attributable to whisky, with a hint of caramel in the background. In the mouth it is silky, warm, enveloping. Vanilla, bitter chocolate, licorice and caramel dance harmoniously together, hovering higher and higher as the glass warms. The bitterness balances the drink and the moderate carbonation emphasizes the mouthfeel. We recommend drinking it between 10 and 14 degrees to enjoy it at its best.
