Description
The most extreme beer produced by the Canadians of Flying Monkeys: a 17.5% Imperial Stout that matures for 1 year in Bourbon barrels (Buffalo Trace, Heaven Hill and Jim Beam). On the nose, very rich roasts of coffee, chocolate, liquorice, molasses, black bread and raisins meet notes of vanilla, coconut and wood impregnated with the distillate from the barrel passage. In the mouth it is full and oily, almost viscous with very evident toasting and a complexity that brings it closer to a spirit than to a beer
