A blend of a raspberry sour (gose) and an imperial stout matured for 36 months in ex-Montepulciano Toscano barrels. Monk's robe in color, slightly hazy, with a light but persistent head with cappuccino and copper highlights. The nose is reminiscent of traditional Belgian Red Flemish beers, with well-balanced, funky notes and hints of licorice and red fruits. Smooth and refreshing despite the woody notes, the palate opens with flavors of berries, dark chocolate, vanilla, and raisins. At the end, the savory and pleasantly acidic notes of the original gose blend with a vinous, almost raisin-like note and the bitterness of the roasted malts. While never overpowering, they help balance the final result, leaving room for a long, satisfying finish of fruit and licorice.
