Miami Weisse completely reimagines the classic wheat beer, bringing new life to a style often seen as a simple stepping stone for craft beer drinkers. Fermented with a traditional weisse yeast and enriched with malted wheat, it stays true to its roots while being transformed by the use of American hops: Columbus and Mosaic in the boil, Cascade in dry hopping. In the glass it appears hazy, with an alcohol content of 5%. The aroma blends spicy notes of white pepper and clove with citrusy nuances and resinous hop character. On the palate it is lighter and drier than a traditional weisse; the typical “banana-like” note remains in the background, giving way to a delicate yet present bitterness and a pleasant, slightly tart finish. A modern and successful reinterpretation that gives tradition a fresh, contemporary voice.
