Westmalle Dubbel 33 Cl.

Westmalle Dubbel is a Belgian beer produced in the Trappist abbey of N.D de la Trappe du Sacré Cœur, one of the most famous in Belgium. It is a mahogany colored beer which develops an abundant and persistent beige foam in the glass. This color is due to the double dose of malt used to produce this Westmalle. From the glass comes a strong and malty aroma with very flowery aromas, with tones of caramelized alcohol and yeast. In the mouth, the finesse is evident. We immediately notice the licorice, the subtly burnt caramel, the toasted tones, a long and good quality dry bitterness. The malt flavors spread slowly and for a long time on the palate. It is a fine and delicate beer, which does not look out of place with its more famous Trappist colleagues such as Rochefort.
