Opperbacco's Losers is a classic American IPA that the Abruzzo brewery interprets with balance and personality: it pours a deep gold shot through with amber highlights, crowned by a creamy, persistent head that slowly releases its aromatic payload. On the nose the hops set the agenda with a spread of ripe citrus, zest and flesh alike, followed by tropical fruit leaning toward mango and passion fruit, and closed by a resinous, almost balsamic note recalling pine and fresh sap. The palate delivers on that promise: the bitterness is clean and assertive, never harsh, supported by a solid malt backbone that brings pleasant hints of caramel and biscuit, lending structure without weighing down the profile.
