Podere La Berta’s Doba is a Czech Pils that looks straight to the Bohemian tradition of the Svetlé, the palest and brightest members of the great Eastern European lager family. It is brewed with malt sourced from the Czech Republic, which lends a light body and notes of bread crust and cracker, and with Saaz and Sladek hops, chosen for their floral, herbal and gently spicy character, far from any excess. In the glass it shows a clear, pale golden straw colour crowned by a fine white head; on the nose and palate malt and hops converse in balance, in a dry beer with just the right bitterness, never intrusive, finishing clean and inviting the next sip.
