Description
Isaure's smile. A name that whispers softness, yet conceals a quiet, formidable strength. The 2021 vintage was a challenge met with remarkable character: severe spring frosts and a late growing season tested the vineyard to its limits. The Grenache, with few clusters, concentrated all its energy into exceptional quality. The Mourvèdre, naturally a late-ripening variety, was completely unaffected — delivering outstanding raw material. A great vintage born from adversity. The vines grow among the garrigue landscapes of Languedoc-Roussillon, east-west oriented, rooted in clay-limestone soils that bring structure and depth. The cool summer nights — around 15°C — are the signature of this terroir: a natural, elegant acidity that threads through the wine from first sip to last. In the vineyard, the approach is strictly organic and biodynamic: the soil is left completely undisturbed from 1st July to 31st March, and every intervention follows careful, respectful observation. Fostering natural balance is the guiding philosophy behind every decision. In the cellar, the proximity of the winery to the vineyards allows grapes to be processed with maximum speed and precision. Macerations last 10–12 days in concrete vats, extracting structure, colour and aromatic complexity. After malolactic fermentation, part of the wine is aged in oak barrels until bottling in summer 2022. In the glass, Le Sourire d'Isaure 2021 is a wine of great personality: on the nose it opens with a profile that is powerful, aromatic and yet refreshingly fresh, with a complexity that seduces and intrigues. On the palate the freshness carries through, supported by a beautiful aromatic structure and a long, enchanting finish that lingers in the memory. No added sulphites, vegan friendly.
