Description
A white wine that defies convention. Arneis, Piedmont's most emblematic white grape, is here vinified in an unconventional way — with partial skin contact that lends unexpected depth and complexity. 100% Arneis from vineyards in the village of Guarene, with east and south-east facing exposure. Twenty-two-year-old vines on clay and sandy soils at 200 metres above sea level — deep roots in land cultivated in full harmony with nature's rhythms. Spontaneous fermentation with natural yeasts, with 30% of the skins in contact for one week and no temperature control. Ageing for 6 months in stainless steel tanks, with no fining and no filtration. A minimalist approach that lets the fruit do the talking. Floral and fruity on the nose, with notes of white peach, wildflowers and a delicate minerality. On the palate the texture is richer than expected from a white wine, with a precise acidic backbone and a long, lingering finish.
