Description
Brewed to mark a milestone in the Dublin brewery's history, this
Scotch Ale (Wee Heavy) captures all the warm, enveloping character
of the Scottish style: a dominant malt profile, layers of caramel
and biscuit sweetness that build across the palate, a full, rounded
body supported by restrained attenuation, with the style's
characteristically low bitterness sitting quietly in the background
rather than competing with the malt, leading to a smooth, almost
contemplative finish. At 6.3% ABV and just 20 IBU, Rascals delivers
a well-balanced tribute to the Scottish strong ale tradition, best
enjoyed slowly, whether by the fire, with company, or as part of a
celebration
