Description
The Torres family owns 350 hectares of vineyards in Curicò (Chile) and 60 hectares in Sonoma (California), where wines of the highest quality and international prestige are produced. Thanks to the exceptional quality-price ratio that makes them truly unique, Torres wines are currently present in the most prestigious restaurants around the world, a guarantee of quality from a large company that has been able to combine the most recent oenological discoveries and centuries-old traditions. With the aim of achieving greater equity in international trade and providing the consumer with a product developed in the name of transparency and respect between the company and its employees, while maintaining high quality production, Miguel Torres Chile has certified its main line of wines in the name of "fair trade".
Grape variety: Chardonnay.
Alcohol content: 14% vol.
Why "Acero": it is the Spanish word for steel and refers to the fact that this wine has never seen any oak. Selected above all for their fruity and aromatic intensity, the grapes are fermented in stainless steel to capture the purity of their aromas.
The Don Miguel organic vineyard: this organic vineyard takes its name from the patriarch of the Torres family and is located in the Green Valley, the coolest and foggiest region of the Russian River, just ten kilometers from the Pacific.
Winemaking: the grapes were fermented at a controlled temperature in stainless steel. After completing the first fermentation, the wine underwent malolactic fermentation in the same tank. The wine was bottled in June.
Comments: This wine exhibits splendid fruity aromas, with reminiscences of Asian pear and freshly picked apples. It is fresh and vibrant on the palate, with great balance, intense aromas and a long finish.
Serving suggestions: easy to drink and perfect to pair with foods such as tapas and light dishes.
Contains Sulphites.
