Abita Andygator 35,5 Cl.

Abita Brewing is one of the most historic names on the American craft scene: this brewery is located in the woods near New Orleans, Louisiana. Land of great swamps, they couldn't help but dedicate a beer to the main creature of the swamp: the alligator. However, the suffix -ator does not even betray the adherence to the trend of very muscular bottom fermentations of the German style. In this specific case we have a Heller Doppelbock made with only Pale malt, a bottom-fermenting yeast strain from Germany and the finest Perle hops, among the most aromatic of European noble hops.

Poured into the glass it is intensely golden, very clear. The olfactory bouquet is minimal but very clean: cereal, honey and herbaceous, with a slightly citric/zesty tip. The body has a discreet sweet persistence and the bitterness is well calibrated. A low muscular fermentation, but very elegant.

How to pair Andygator

We recommend it paired with a crouton with gonrgonzola and walnuts.
