Woest by Dutch Bargain is an intense and enveloping 10% ABV Imperial Russian Stout that captures the wild strength of the North Sea in a dark, deep beer full of character. The name "Woest", which in Dutch means "wild", perfectly reflects the soul of this beer: powerful, indomitable and full of nuances. Brewed in the Zeeland region, Woest is black as night, with a compact and creamy foam. On the nose it releases intense aromas of bitter cocoa, toasted coffee, vanilla, licorice and tonka beans, with hints of molasses and dark wood. In the mouth it is full-bodied and velvety, with a malty sweetness that balances the toasted bitterness (45 IBU) and an alcoholic heat that spreads slowly. Each sip is a sensory journey, with a long and persistent finish that leaves room for notes of dark chocolate and warm spices. Woest is a meditation beer, ideal for cold evenings, to be enjoyed slowly, perhaps in combination with intense desserts, blue cheeses or simply on its own.
