Description
Eastside Brewing Wild Rover
Top fermentation beer, aged in keg and can. Black with compact foam, medium-lasting hazelnut colour. Aroma dominated by coffee and toasted barley, licorice and chocolate arrive in rapid succession. On the palate it is soft. The taste is dominated by coffee and liquorice. As the beer warms up, notes of bitter chocolate and red fruit emerge. A clear salty note accompanies the drink, enhancing the character of the beer. The bitterness is medium to balance the malty component. Medium carbonation emphasizes body and velvety mouthfeel. We recommend pairing our Irish stout with oysters and seafood. Semi-mature cheeses such as Emmentaler, Gouda or smoked Provola are always a valid choice as are desserts based on dark chocolate and/or coffee.
