Black-Belle by Lambiek Fabriek, part of the Juicy & Wild line, is a 7% ABV fruit lambic, a unique, unfiltered blend of lambics brewed in house with spontaneous fermentation, aged in oak barrels and macerated with black currants, also known as cassis. Lambiek Fabriek’s work entrusts the character of the beer to time and to the microbes living in the air and the wood, which yield complexity, lively acidity and the wild note typical of spontaneous fermentation. The oak adds depth and a gentle tannic structure, while the maceration on cassis brings a deep, dark red color and an intense, vinous, juicy fruit with a tart, slightly herbal profile that melds with the rustic, funky nuances of the lambic.
